Background of 35+ years experience.......... From setup and processing thru part design, tool design and building, program development and coordination plus vendor reviews and selection. Our hands-on experience in CAD design, prototype and production tooling along with process engineering and vendor development is a strong resource to compliment both small and large projects. Previous programs have included parts for cosmetic, automotive, consumer handheld and computer devices, medical products for portable and hospital use as well as many commercial use items. Part sizes for these programs ranged from “micro-ounce” up to 3.5 lb. shot level and tool categories from proto thru class 1 - high volume production. For the last 20+ years, most of these products have involved complex 3-D contoured surfaces and parts that have demanded challenging tooling strategies to resolve.
Best utilized in .......... Early development product engineering, initial costing evaluations and tooling quote coordination. Objective vendor evaluations (domestic and international) for tooling, molding, decorating and other areas of manufacturing. If your current program won’t permit full time staffing to monitor and manage your investment, then consider the value of our experience and resources on a contract basis. We can help you identify those areas that will make your project successful, competitive and help you to become a more valuable partner with your vendors. Having an experienced resource without the long term overhead obligation may be valuable to your cost objectives as well.
Areas of involvement within your company .......... Part design reviews, tooling concepts, prototype and/or production tool development, RFQ planning and coordination, tooling program implementation, process controls and quality performance planning. Troubleshooting of existing tools along with corrective action reporting can be of significant value to your existing programs. Ongoing maintenance training at existing vendors can often prolong the quality and utility of your tools. These activities may require travel to your site or vendors locations and/or may be done in many cases at our office without unnecessary additional expenses. The level of involvement with your programs is always up to you. Our services will typically be “customized” for your individual scenario to provide the best value to you from your investment.
